anyone know what happened to Fritz's car lot on rt 422 around Douglasville Pa ? been awhile since i was past it and now everything is gone. has some cool stuff rotted into the ground. guy was hard to deal with. Did it all go to the crusher ?
I dont know what happened to the place. When i was about 14 or so, I talked my Dad into taking my friend and I down to see the place. What a great collection of stuff!! The whole basement was full of hubcaps, like 4 feet deep.I remember some of the LaSalles and some great 52-54 Lincolns. But the car that I remember most was a 58 Impala,it was along side of the road that ran down to the lower field, behind the building. The Impala was almost covered with old tires. The body had the side pitchforks molded into scoops, the paint was a dark blue with lighter blue and silver scallops, shaved door handles and a wild pinstriped dash.....I wish I had taken some pics!! What a great place!
All auctioned off last year to pay debts and clear the land. The land was rented by Fritz. Many of the cars went cheap, but most were parts cars only.
