damn...just read the last two updates from my work truck. as I was reading another truck pulls up to ask for parts. He asks is everything ok. I replied...yeah just have some dust in my eyes.

keep up the fight andy! you are an inspiration to all. And you are also a reminder to me that all of our problems/complaints are petty compared to what you and your family are going through. good luck and I will make sure and keep you in my prayers.

    Just spoke with Chris..............

The Dr's want to get Andy out of hospital because of the amount of infections caused by hospitals. They are in a holding pattern for the next few days, but Chris is hoping that they can get Andy to the Janeway asap.

Andy is strong and doing what he does best..........fight the monster.

As i get udates, you get updates.

  13. Andy. Iwas going to bring you a shirt from my works anual show and shine. But it sounds like you will be heading home before I get a day off to bring it to you at harborview. I will send it home to you and let your friends wonder where "Baxter auto parts" is at.:D Think of all the Pacific northwest hot rodders and HAMBers when you go cruise your firebreathin',cop scarein',tire fryin',flatblacked, chopped down and hopped up model"eh". {or,use it to check the oil in the flatty} Best of luck to you , sorry I didnt get the chance to deliver the shirt in person but its waiting for you at home

You know, Andy, you are gonna be sitting around talking to your Great Grandchildren one day saying, "After 14, my life seemed to get a whole lot easier."

Keep on fighting, and doing what the Docs tell you. You'll be going for a million rides in every hot rod at MOKAN before you know it.

I saw he had a set back and wanted to know if it was his health, or something hospital schedule related. I can't imagine what the guy has been through, I hope all is well with Andy.

Not exactly what i was hoping to update with.....

Hi Everyone,Well, we have a setback. We had to cancel the trip back for now. Andy is dealing with infection. We now think we know why he was getting sicker. We had a steady stream of doctors today doing alot of testing and they think it is a hospital germ called "conagulase negative staphylococci" .There is some concern of a shunt infection but they are monitoring it as well .So if he tests positive we will have to try to get rid of it using antibiotics. We are on hold for now and Andy seems to be holding steady. He didnt pass the swallowing test today so it looks like he will need that feeding peg that I spoke of in earlier e-mails until we see if he can get his swallowing back over time. I will be in touch. Chris

Thanks for the update, I'm sure Andy will pull through. I have actually heard of "Staphylococci" before. Can't say it's the exact, but the name rings a bell. Hope all goes well with the family and Andy throughout these times.
