This is bad news. Having the bags rub on anything WILL cause failure at some point. Real bad thing, especially when the frame drops to the ground on the highway when the bag fails. You could maybe try replacing the bags with Con***ech bags. They don't expand in diameter as they inflate, this might help Dan
427 Is it possible that your spring arms are shorter? I Checked out the dia. of the bags, 6'' inflated the cross member measures 6 9/16'' outside ,the plate it is made from is 3/16'' leaves 3/32'' clearence. I like the way it works but I plan on increasing the clearence for the bags.I will get the measurement of my arms later.
Fixed it. Got 6 inches of travel!!! I put shims in the adjustable perches effectively lengthening the arms by 1/2". Notice the better shackle angle. I think it should still be a little longer, maybe 3/8" and get even more travel.
