Front Axle I.D.

What is this, and can I use it on a '40 Ford truck?

 

Looks like a 40 front end missing sway bar hardware … but don’t know if p/u’s had it anyway.

 

Tough to tell ,Defiantely worth grabbing has juice brakes .Need better pics of the radius rods and length of axle.All I can see is 35 and up .With juice brakes

 

Can't be 35/36 axle because of how close the perch holes are to the king pins. Looks 40 to me, or early 41 before the steering arm holes were changed? (I think someone said that about the 41 tapers)

 

yeah, it was a 40. it came my way from kyle...

(i still need some wiwsh bones... i was suposed to get the bones off that axle but ran out of time)

 

I couldn't remember where that axle came from. Was that the one that was in the front yard at Heather's house?
