Has anyone had any experience with Cornerstone Suspension Tech I-beam front axles? Good price, was just wondering about the quality of them.
There are used old Ford axles every were ,that's what you need. If you must have dropped, then go for a 47/48 Ford=has a 3in. drop from Ford stock.
On this subject, anybody heard from 'Okie Joe' lately? he's a well known dropper of axles if the OP doesn't know.
Cheap axles often are cast.Dont do it.Often they are being sold by one of the companies that are part of the Hoffman group.NEVER buy from them.No customer support at all. They sell on E bay often so avoid hot rod shops you haven't heard of before.Use a dropped original,or get a forged axle from So Cal Speed, or Pete, and Jakes,or Super bell.It will cost more, but a pot hole wont shatter one like a cast. There are pictures around here of broken cast axles, and they look scary.
Irishsteve, thanks for the reply. I'm an older guy and I am familiar with those suppliers. Think I'll stick with the tried and true. Some of those others claimed forged, but are they really? Seemed too cheap.
