Hot Rods front bumper

    I have a 1929 model A,I want to put a 30\31 front bumper on it,brackets are different I am told.No body has any in stock.Any body know what the difference is ?

    I remember an old trick. The 1930 / 31 brackets pull the bumper in closer, so guys would use them on their 28 / 29's because it's a better look.

    "Nobody has any in stock" So people buy new Model A bumper irons? I'm surprised they are even made. I would have guessed there are ten sets of irons sitting in the back of a garage, for every set used on a car. Not many a hot rodder is using that stuff anymore.

    I made front bumper brackets with old truck springs (1 3/4" width) Never considered buying brackets.

    You should be able to bolt a 30-31 bumper up to your brackets, the bumpers fasten the same way.

    just saw the post. Heated springs and bent to fit. These were for a rear bumper why they so long. We’re fastened to frame rails image.jpg
