Technical front coils, 49 chevy styleline

    hey guys, i cut my front coils a few years ago, i regret it, i need standard, do ya know if truck coils are same?

    Chevy trucks of that vintage used leaf springs.

  4. I've heard mustang II springs actually fit the stock front end. And the guy that told me that has not given me a bad bit of advice on 49-54 chevys in the four years I've known him

    Everybody was using Fairmont springs a while ago. Bigger wire, rode well, cut to your desired height ...

    This listing from the Filling station in Oregon shows the measurements including wire diameter.

    Chevs of the 40's shows springs for standard cars and powerglide and convertibles. No dimensions though.

    I'd take the measurements and study the spring catalogs for what is readily available in the UK.

    Don't forget the possibility of having a spring shop make you a pair. Maybe Mart can chime in with suggestions on that end.
