front drive blown reverse flow flathead

I get the idea of overcoming the deficiencies of exhaust thru the block. But why not just use a Cadillac flathead which does not have it? With an extra 100cu in+ you won't even need the blower. PS I think I know the answer. *Richard Nixon voice* That would be doing it the e-e-easy way.

 

I have been working on a pattern for a flathead blower intake that a friend of mine had started but doesn't have time for. So I got a couple of my blowers out to do some mock up. I am getting comfortable with my pattern making skills and might get some patterns made up for the front mount blower drive while I am at it.

 

Uncommon Engineering built this Potvin styled setup (Red) for a GMC 571 Blower (471 housing with stuffer plates on both ends, and 2" longer 6V series rotors.
