Posting this for my dad since he doesnt use the computer at all We picked up a Model A coupe that was built on a boxed steel frame the front end that came with it is a home made built piece that is not the style we are going for, and honestly I wouldnt trust it on the street the motor for the car is a basically stock 5.0 mustang motor with a small cam and dual plane intake 650 carb, figure the motor might be making 260hp with a C4 trans behind it We have been looking at the speedway front end kits want to go with a hair pin style spring over axle and i beam axle setup with some drop to it also need to get front brakes etc. Ive been reading a lot of mixed reviews about speedways front ends what other options do I have (without going crazy) this is not a show car or anything like that it will get driven dont want anything to be chrome on it the body is not super clean (its more ratty for lack of a better word type of build) not really looking to go with original parts either mainly dont really have the time to build something myself either open for any suggestions and pros/cons of some of the stuff out there also do not want an independent front end setup either
First time build, I would suggest some reading material: http://www.amazon.com/How-Build-Tra...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1278349853&sr=8-1 Speedway is fine if you know what you are looking for and have a reasonable expectation of what you are going to receive from them. High quality parts at deep discount parts just ain't gonna happen.
