i have a ridged rear end in my drag car and know how it handles, but how does the ridged front ends handle on the ha/gr ? im intrested in this front end style. (might be starting a build) is this rand mans car , and how does it handle? how is it attached to the frame? thanks , james
James.. I've run no suspension on either end of my cars with no problems.. Most strips are pretty smooth. Sooooo...Alot of the lake cars are the same way...I use a real strong spring up front so it has the look.. I used a 3000# single leaf trailer spring on the frontend of my Fiat ....
Sorry, I have been out of town for about a week. We raced the Top Fuel car at Norwalk, Ohio. Went 6.18 at 225. My HA/GR handles great in a straight line. You cant take a corner very fast. No problems on the Tulsa or MO-KAN track, but the return road at MO-KAN is a pain in the *** (literally). The single, grade 8 bolt you see in the picture holds the axle on. The bolt goes through a bushing that is welded in the center of the axle. The axle slides through the bracket, so it is completly captured there. It can't come out very easy. The car is for sale, by the way. Not because there are any problems with it. I'm just a little fat for the ****pit and I want to try some new ideas.
