Many years back , I remember my dad showing me a website (pretty darn large , IIRC) that was 100% dedicated to front-engined dragsters . Loads of pics from all over , most taken "back in the day" . I've looked around a bit & have come up snake-eyes . I searched the HAMB & didn't see it - did I miss it ? SOMEONE has to have this site bookmarked ! Post up if you've got it (or one like it) .

    Thanks in advance !

Probably talking about "We did it for love.com" There are more like "front engine dragsters.org" that are also good.

    I don't remember the site I'm thinking of being a members-only site ... just pages & pages of cool old-style dragsters .

Both great sites though - I'm enjoying it so far .

When teh "we did it for love" website was first out - it was open the the public - that lasted a short time and now they do it for a couple of bucks. It is cool no doubt!

So it's very possible THAT was the website you were remembering.

We Did It For Love was a free site for several years. It finally became so big that it was not financially feasible for the site owner to keep posting all of the photos that he was receiving so he started charging. There are still several hundred pages of photos there that you can view free of charge, just click on the Visitor*****on and follow the instructions for Visitors.

  7. Yeah,,I use to go there when it was free.
It was a great site,,a lot of very cool old pics.
(It is funny how expensive the cost get a site gets popular.)

This is about the coolest one I have found in a long time,,(I come to the Hamb every day),,,but,,it is still free.
Thanks Ryan for a great place to come, to see old rods and swap ideas,,this is the best.

  9. My favorite part there was about the "Surfers".

Must be why I remember it as a wide-open site . Probably the correct one then .

I've gotta join in & say KUDOS to the HAMB for remaining a free site , cause it's a busy mofo !
