    GREAT stuff everybody.

this one is about what my friend wants to build. somethin like this or that last one Radshit posted. he would'nt mind buyin an old one that needs restored or at least on old chassis.

i've checked out the sites mentioned many times and spent a couple hours on them right after starting this thread. i'd forgotten about them till i brought it up here.

keep those dragster pics comin, the earlier the better. i want to see some REAL early rail jobs...

Here's some shot's off of the Mac Tools web site. Lot's of cool stuff! I'm getting ready to suit up this spring. We're building two front engine dragsters at the shop right now. Blown flathead and blown hemi. We should be ready to get the frame NHRA inspected in another month or so.

My dad recently found a box negs of a bunch of pics he took when he was the starter at Fremont back around 63 or 64. Not scanned yet, but worth the world to me and my brothers.

  14. I don't know if it qualifies, but it is a rail. I think R told me its a Dave Moon chassis that was never run.

if you search the forums i put a post like this up a few months back that had a few cool pics on it. i used to have a bunch of old digger pics but my computer crashed so i lost em all. Also check out hotrod.com, they did a front engine dragster buildup in the last few issues. the car they built had a real 60's vibe, was built for less than 25k and ran 9's i believe.

I really dig the "front wheels up" pix, and made the second one my desktop. I wonder what the photog and the people in front of the NHRA sign were looking at, cause I'd have been watching that car wheelie!

  26. Still gotta scan a few hundred slides I shot in the late fifties/early sixtie but I got a ton of front engine dragster pics in amongst 'em.

Here's a shot of the rail I used to crew on in the mid sixties.
