C-10 owners,is there anyway to lower the front end of a 1961 C-10 without having to go to the lowering spindles that only are made for disk brakes. Want to keep the drum brakes if possible. The rear is no problem, coil springs but the front has no coil springs on it. Appreciate any info. Already called around and can't find any drop spindles that I can use the factory drum brake setup with.
I think they had the torsion front end, just crank em down. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Agreed back off the torsion bar bolts.... I've heard if you cut the coils in the rear you need to shorten the track bar, buy an adjustable one, or move/make a new mount cause it will push the axle toward the p***ennger side. Again thats just what I was told.
Thanks so far guys,I am not planing on cutting the rear coils, just buying the lowering coils for rear.
Section or notch the crossmember. Yes it is involved, takes a pro fab/welder like skills but you can get 1.5" from it. Combine with stepped arms (2") and what ever you crank down on the t-bars your static drop will be killer.
