Three different height of windshields used in 47 Chevy. Fleetline Aero Sedan (small), Coupe (medium) Sedan (large). Not sure where station wagons and sedan deliveries fit in. Canuck
if installing new gl*** make sure that it is done at a quality shop - years back had a '41 Chevy sedan that had gl*** cut for on a place known for sometimes working on older cars - owner says that he has done this type of work for many years - a day or two later I had to jack up rear of car and both pieces of the new front gl*** cracked (cars flex and need to have enough clearance for this when cutting gl***) - went back to gl*** shop and owner told me that he had one of his newer workers do the work, with no previous experience on cutting old car gl*** - WHAT?? - he would not redo gl*** - said to sue him - yikes!! - no, I did not because County Court was a long way from where I lived
Just looked at my '47 GM parts catalogue:- 1939-46 Chevrolet & GMC truck screens were 16" x 24"; Fleetline Aero & Fleetmaster p***enger car screens were 18" x 26" and 16" x 26"; and Stylemaster p***enger car screens were 18" x 26".
