While goofing off at work, this thought just hit me. When you measure eye to eye on a front leaf, which condition are you suppose to follow?? Is it loaded with weight of car, or unloaded? Is it straight from eye to eye, or does the measurement follow the arch of the spring? Our buddies RPU is sitting a bit low in the front and the spring is flatter than one would normally expect and we just want to get the correct info. Thanks in advance.
I've always followed the arch of the spring when measuring eye to eye. If you do it any other way you would have to compensate for the arch. Too complicated. Frank
