Has anyone tried using a trailer spring on their suicide or stock transverse spring set up? I've been browsing and found several that would seem to work,in several lengths, and rates. I also don't know what spring rate/capacity to try. They are available in single,2,3,and 4 leave configurations from 700 to 3000 lb. rates. Going on 33 chevy with 4cyl,home made frame, and dropped axle. Very light car, just using cowl, will build the rest.

  3. This is one I used under a T roadster. Bought it off E-bay. It didn't say boat trailer spring but looked like one. Worked out good and was cheeeeep.

These cheapo boat trailer springs are pretty sorry springs. Before I retired from the spring business I used to buy most of the common ones for around $7.00 each. Does this tell you anything?
