Looking for a better ride for my 31 ford .I have Qa1 shocks on the front using the original springs with my set up ,its still a very bumpy ride I was told if I remove one leaf it will give my shocks a opportunity to work like they are meant to ,big question is witch leaf to take out ? Or does it matter which leaf to take out.
I usually try to take out several leaves, you will need to make a spacer to take up the room in the crossmember so the u bolts will tighten up on the spring. While you have the spring apart you should bevel the ends of the spring on the bottom so they will slide better, I also put a light coat of grease between the leaves.
I bougth rev. Eye main springs from "A spring "in Hartford Ct. Polished and grease . I took out number 3 and 5 .
