This is my front Spring perch, a few asked about it in my intro and i managed some better pics to maybe show better.

It is 3/8 angle iron, bent/formed/ground to the shape of the webbing, and Seamless tube for the shackle mount. It is held to the axle by 2, 5/8 bolts through the web of the axle on each side. It is gusseted well and does not flex at all. It was a way for me to keep my front axle, without getting a dropped one, and my spare Posies superslide 32 front spring that i had laying around.

    Here are the pics.

It looks like it would bind against the mount on the axle under compression.
How much clearance do you have?

    I wondered the same thing.
But if you lighten the pic,you will see he has plenty of clearance.
