Can someone tell me what the front track width is on a '73 -87' GM 1/2 ton.

This ch***is seems to be very popular under COE's - is it because it fits well or is it because it is more readily available?

The decision about what ch***is to use seems to be very easy when someone gives you a ch***is for nothing - hell anything'll work! But when you have to go and shell out the bucks the decision isn't quite as easy - and a mistake can be costly.

    Thanks,

presuming track width is measured outside to outside of tyres my donor truck ('83 crewcab) is...front 73.5 and rear is 82". my rear axle is the narrow version to suit original utility body. The full size dually with wide rear fenders has a wider rear axle. about 8" wider I think

  4. Track width is measured in the middle of the tread, I believe
