Trying to wire my turn signal switch. My problem is my front turn signal wont flash one at a time. They both flash like I have my hazard flasher on. My turn signalsare a motorcycle type. When I got them it had only one wire.Would it be a ground issue with the turn signal.I have a rebel harness.
Lack of a good ground will cause feedback through the wiring. I think your ground issue guess is spot on.
I agree. If a ground is bad, the system will try to find a ground where ever it can and feedback through other systems and components. Electricity takes the path of least resistence so even if it is a loose, or corroded ground with high resistence it will cause some pretty funky electrical issues.
Agree on grounds, make sure you have a 2-way flasher as well, not a 4-way hazard type. Swap around the bulbs, sometimes a bad bulb or even the socket can produce weird results.
On my OT scout, a bad blinker setup in the steering column was causing random front and rear lights to flash and my brakes lights to not work at all unless I had blinker arm halfway up into the right blinker. Swapped the part out and never had another issue. This is a we'll known issue with grounds on the scout II's. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
