I blew a left front wheel cylinder on my 40 Willys the only ones available have a flat end on the piston were the shoe touches mine have a fork where the shoe touches this is on stock drum brakes I believe the cylinder was already a replacement as the backing plate looks modified I went to all the parts stores called the maker of the cylinder got nowhere so I ask have they decided that the forked piston is not needed and the shoe wont move around or do I remove the piston out of the new cylinder and try to put my forked ones in it the next move will be disks on the front if I cant get parts
Buy some new cups and caps, hone the thing a little, and reassemble. The cups are usually a common size, not just Willys specific.
You should post a picture of the style you need; some of us have been doing parts for years and might be able to get you fixed up. Need dimensions as well, mounting type, etc.

I much prefer that makers use a standardized, proven design rather than building a new mousetrap that does the same job the same way.
