New to model A's and bought 1930 grease cups clear the axel nut ok, but the hubcap won't clear.

Then found out my wheels are 16" 1932s.

Looks like I can't trim enough off the grease cap and still install into the axel.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks .

Well, you are even more mixed up, as '32 wheels were not 16". But I've seem MANY Model A's with later Ford wire wheels (from '32 through '35) bolted on, so I guess you should look for some original grease caps. Maybe the repro caps are too big?

All the wheels from 28-35 will fit on the longer 28-36 spindle with either mechanical or hydraulic brake setups. and HUBCAPS for those wheels.
    28-29 wheels 21"
    30-31 wheels 19"
    32 wheels 18"
    33-34 wheels 17"
    35 wheels 16"
All the above are welded spoke wheels.

Just a brain malfunction, knew they were 35's.

My measurements indicate either the hubcap is too shallow or the grease cap too tall.

I will try to find a vendor and get measurements of both for a 35 wheel.
Not sure how to factor in the axel differences..

    Thanks

Decided to not use the grease cups as apparently Ford didn't.
