Hey fella's. I am having a big problem...I am putting my 53 chevy 5 window p/u back together and have clearance issues with my front wheels? Currently have 14" steelies with 7.60 Bias Plys. I have a '76 Camaro subframe and had to run Billet adapters to space rim out for clearance. Rims are RIGHT ON fender...cant turn at all. Rims are 3 3/4" backspace and adapters are 1 1/4". This combo not working. Has anyone else ran this steelie/adapter combo on a subframe with disc brakes? I have cut springs on front and it is LOW! Need to find what would work and turn while so low? Thanks guys & gals.

15" wheels to clear the discs... narrow or swap out the subframe... or buy special narrow width control arms.

Some Camaros with disc brakes came with 14" rims that were about 3 3/4" back space. Look for some of those rims and get rid of the spacers all together.

  5. I believe the original size tire on those was 6.70-15.
