Today while working on my 87 toyota with an 85 305sbc My dumbass managed to push a frost plug right into the motor . the frost plug is right above the driver side motor mount all of 3/4" max from the block to the mount .
    1) can it stay in the block?
    2) will it cause a blockage?
    3) how would I get it out?

thanks for any help and let the flaming begin

I wouldn't leave it in there, how bad would it be to just loosen that motor mount and jack the engine up enough to grab it with some channel locks.

don't worry about it,theres hundreds of engines out there with frosy plugs in the block.
hell, most shops just bang them in when they replace them.

maybe yuo could screw a self drilling sheet metal screw into it so you'll have something to grab?

Try to get to it with channel locks. If you can't then drive it down out of the way and put in a new one!

Fiddle around with it until you can get some vicegrips locked on to it, then twist it out. Normally you drive them in and pry them out to change them. Expect to put in a new replacement too.
