Yeah I know... I really should grow up- but damn it were all still kids underneath that 5-o-clock shadow...

I was having a bum weekend, I wanted to take a vid of this for a while... so here it is.

    I feel better now...

When you're a kid up north... the cool thing to do with a cute girl is to lay on the ice... listening to it crack... and watch the stars...

when you're with the guys... its to whip shittys... and try and climb the 'wall' on the south end of the lake.

    13 degrees
    frozen lake, northern mn...
I'm still driving my 34. I had an older lady yesterday(70+ yrs old) say is that your HOT ROD??? isnt it a little COLD? hahaha... She's the only lady in town to call it a Hot Rod... everybody else calls it something retarded- like various names I dont care to repeat... I love that old lady. I was thinking haha... she probably got picked up in one of these when she was in her 20's-

It was cold last week when it was -25 with -45 windchill...

When global warming takes effect at least I'll be fine right where I am...

    Viva La Hamb-

  15. Oh hell yeah!

  16. Looks like a lot more fun when you don't have to worry about hitting the Piggly Wiggly's shopping carts.

You should have turned the car off and recorded those eerie sounds the ice makes when it creaks and groans so all the warm climate folks could enjoy that too.

You should get more camera's to put on the ice for filming... Or get some friends with camera's to come along...

We have shitty winters here the last couple of years in Y'urop, but I usually go out and play with my car aswell... :D

no more slicks... if it did... it wouldnt move out there. I have some 30" tall Firestone 500's on the back with some tread.

I shouldve driven down the lake and rounded some fish houses... haha... I dunno... in the whole scheme of things that was pretty fun. I think I like hearing the engine more than anything-

Figured you guys would dig it too-

The suns out here Tuck, its in the 90's but man, I would have loved to be freezing my arse off to have seen that in person!

  25. Tuck, you need a 'friend' or two....or at least some fool to stand 'still' and hold onto the camera for you while you do donuts around him.....or you could do some more shots with the camera on the ground, place bets, and see how close you could get to is at revs.....now that would be great to watch.....:D

    Cheers,

I've never experienced much of any kind of winter except for a few times I've been in Buffalo for a week. Having never experienced it, I think I would be pretty nervous hearing the ice making noises. So what do they do with the fishing shacks? Do they stay on the lake and float during the year or do they haul them in? Closest I've ever experienced is watching "Grumpy Old Men"

  27. Now That is Funny....

Frank...they don't leave them out there...when the season is over guys usually pull them in behind a trunk or load them to a trailer or pull them with a 4 wheeler.

My brother just bought one this week for a fishing tournament on Cedar Lake

    thanks for the laugh..

    Wow, that was cool.
    Thanks for sharing.

....I hear that when global warming really kicks in, Minnesota will have summers much like the south.

Its going to RULE to have palm trees in TN.

I got a lake across the road from me and if I tried to drive my car on it I'd be at the bottom. Its frozen, but definitely not thick.

Its been around 20* down here for the last few weeks. Gets down to the high teens at night and gets up to 45-50*during the day.

    brrrrrrr.

    :D
