It was a great show. The Rumblers know how to throw a party. The Hudson ran great for it's first major road trip. The ride home was alot better with a fuel pump that actually worked. It was great to meet Denise and Slag.

Del said your Hudson is the smoothest running old car he's ever been in.
Thank you all for coming, I'm beat to death though and hungover as hell. It was great meeting Denise in person finally, she's a real doll and her dad's way cool too. Slag Kustom's a cool as hell guy too, it was awesome to shake his legendary hands.
The weather sucked but like others have said those that came came regardless, it certainly does weed out the goldchainers though.
Dan from Reynolds Georgia (Old Kid) call mer please, I was gonna give you my trophy for hard luck after you busticated yout Desoto Hemi, I'll send it you.
I also took some purple carpeting from a vendor and forgot to pay him, if anyone knows who he is or if he's on here please contact me so I can pay him back.
Big thanks to Chalet Stacker (Mark from England) for DJing and MCing, he knows his rock and roll and gets people in a good mood.
Thanks to Bruce Rossmeyer's for hosting and the hotel and bar staff for accomodating and putting up with several hundred rowdy hot rodders.
And to my brothers who came out and their wives, families and girlfriends.

Oh yeah, I forgot to thank the dancers at Loolipop's, yowzah.

And no thanks to the fucker in the red Dodge Viper, do not come back next year and don't ever threaten to kill us, we are way better armed than you and your car does not belong in our show no matter who you think you know.

You missed a great time. Thanks Nads, all you guys had nothing but great things to say about the Hudson. Del really that great Hudson feeling while we were out on the great spark plug adventure. It's amazing that a parts counter guy couldn't find plugs for a sbc. Old Kid's sedan was just bitchin.

Thanks for the pics. You covered it great. Some of the cars were fantastic, a few were so- so, but that Merc with the skulls and the aborted pick up rat rod were shit, and not in the good way either. I wouldn't have wasted the time to take pics of those two.

I got there LATE (read 3:30) twas unfortunate but I was unable to change that, what I did see was quality (mostly, cept for the two aforementioned abortions....that said I gotta look at that hack job merc at the local show here in J-ville....I dunno what that cats thinkin...) Sorry I missed ya denise, I saw a bunch of the folk's cars I met at the turkey run but didnt see the folks, met up with the kings of hell blokes (luckly we got them in J-ville) and scored a complete set of good shape knee action shocks for the roadster for 20 bucks (came with a old school clutch m/c pedal assembly as well) which I was stoked about....the kids hot rod stroller was a hit yet again (the little blighter was beepin and makin car noises wilst crusin what was left of the show, I swear he gets more pics of him and his car than my sled does...) All in all....what little time I was there, it was FUN!

I had to do it just to give a representation of what was there. Believe me there were other very nice cars but just not stuff that really would have fit on here , too new! and by the way sorry for the Bug ! But you gotta admit thats a cool car.

It was a great show. Guess I just missed the HAMB meeting, got there about 12:30, I think. As always I'm too bashful to walk up to the ones I recognize and introduce myself. I might be more inclined if I actually owned a car. I did meet Del's Dad, what a riot! Sweats, your '46 is a beauty. For all you guys that didn't come out because of the weather, Fuck you! Thanks Barry for bringing the Aztec, that thing is always cool.

By the way, Busted Knuckles, your photobucket links are busted. Load 'em up straight to the HAMB so we can see them.

That first picture, those are Gary Chopit's kids, the nicest, most polite children I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

We had a great time there, went through 3 cases of PBR in the time we were there and enjoyed Big Jeff Special before we hit the road back for home. Thanks to The Rumblers for putting on a great event and looking forward to another freezing weekend next year. Great rides, great friends, great weekend.

    booney,
just had the motor rebuilt, new pistons, new cam, new heads. it's been breaking push rods since the rebuild. i had installed new push rods and adjusted the valves, drove it around town for a couple of days to be sure that it ran o.k. friday morning i loaded my luggage and other stuff in the car, backed it out into the driveway and it started skipping while it was idling. i borrowed a trailer, dragged it's broken ass to the rumblers party/show and had a blast. after the show i took it to my buddy and hemi guru, kevin nelson who lives in holly hill fl. about three miles from the show. i told kevin to keep it at his place and fix it so i don't set it on fire.

Show was great. I had a great time. Met a few Hambers, Denise and her dad, ahotrod, antibilly, and prolly a few others. Sorry I missed the meet and greet. I don't remember quite where I was at noon. I may have fallen asleep for a while somewhere (rough night at the pre-party and we slept in the luxurious Chevy Impala Hotel in the parking lot). Sorry I missed it. Thanks to everyone who came out to support my Rumbler brothers from the "Sunshine State"? See you next time, .....Mike.

Would it break your heart to know that me and my hack job of a merc, rode up with the guys in the kings of hell, ive known them for years. And at the same show the guy from osr just had to get pics of it for an upcoming issue.i would post updated pics , but its obvious that most here would not care to see them. oh well.
