i need some advice. my 53 needs an upgrade in the fuel pump area so i am ditching my cheap o mr gasket and got a decent summit one. my problem is that now my pump is mounted higher than the tank, which is why i think im having some running problems. anyway my car is on 4 inch blocks in the rear so the tank is really low. where in the heck should i mount it? also is there a paperless fuel filter that a local auto parts place will have? oh i got the exhaust all re done this week with 2 inch all the way back with 12 inch cherry bombs and chrome tips. sounds tough as hell.
I have seen these at O'Reillys http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-645120/ these have a bronze element and you can take them apart and clean them,I have one myself.
