I think I done did it. Converted to a 12v system from a 6v and wired the gauges incorrectly. Awesome. I *think* I may have fried the fuel and temp after only turning over the car a couple times. I found a replacement temp but no luck on a fuel. Anyone know if these old 6v gauges can be resurrected? Thanks. Man that was stupid...

On my '41 Ford I took the guts(12V) from a '70's Ford truck temp gauge and installed them in the '41 gauge cases. Also got the sender to match so everything is 12V and looks like '41. They fit together perfectly

Fordor41 is correct. Ford used 6 volt King-Seeley type gauges from the beginning until 1986 except 1956) by using a cluster voltage regulator. I have replace many early gauges with the modern units by changing the face and needle from the old gauge to the new one. They will look correct and work properly! I found many T-birds and Torinos of the early to late '70's with the optional gauge set and would grab them.

Get a hold of me if you don't find a direction and want the stock gauge as I think I may have one that you can have for shipping cost..
