Have a simple stock setup in a 1951 ford Victoria, flathead with a Holley 94. The only thing not stock is the dual exhaust, which means there is an exhaust pipe close to the fuel line near the drivers rear tire. The fuel in the bowl keeps boiling after the car has been turned off, leading to challenging engine starts. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? Thanks!!
This type of thing. http://www.jegs.com/i/DEI/186/01040...Q_TFwZv0UCdOET3RqbQAwhZnzmhj6tca_8aAltM8P8HAQ
Yep lots of things mentioned above. Obviously try to insulate the fuel line from the exhaust although flatties don't carry a lot of exhaust temp. Phenolic insulator under the carb and an electric fuel pump between the stock pump and the tank. Hook it up with a three way switch so that it is either OFF or on when starting or ON full time. Do this at the solenoid.
Phenolic carb spacers will help tremendously. Use a section of rubber hose between the carbs and fuel pump.
