I want to run my fuel line through the frame and have it exit in front of the crossmember through the factory hole.
I found this 90* 3/8" line elbow and I'm wondering do I just need a matching female end and what kind of flare would be used?

Looks like a taper fitting. Not meant to be used that way unless you can find a bulkhead adapter

Might be easier to get some 3/8 brake line and run it. You can bend to the configuration you need.

^^^ Bingo, Hardline it. Flare the ends of the hardline and use short pieces of rubber to make the connections.

If it was me I would use nicop Nickle/copper line.
You can order it online from amazon or most any other place.
    Is very reasonable on price.
You can bend it or flare it easily .... easier then old steel brake lines.
Will not rust, should last the rest of your life & your children's too.
Is certified for use with brakes, fuel, or transmissions.

Just be aware there are rolls of copper for refrigerator ice makers .... HVAC units .... these are copper lines and not suited for automotive use ..... Not NSTBA or whatever they call it approved for Brakes or fuel.

And nicop does look like copper ..... just be sure you have the right product.
The copper is hard & brittle, is tough to work with .... nothing you want on your Hot Rod.

  10. A lot of the Ford gas line stuff is 5/16 so easier to run and bend. If you haven't made them yet, the transmission cooler lines are 5/16 also.

I agree 100%, I do a double flair for the hose barb that way you will not any sharp edges to cut in to the hose. Also it’s very rewarding to bend nice fitting lines.

How are you going to keep it from rattling around & possibly being damaged inside a boxed ? Frame

There are holes in that part of the boxing, but I was planning on the rubber lined hose clamps

I just do the first part of a double flair. That leaves kind of a bubble on the end of the line.
