Im working on mounting the fuel cell and plumbing the fuel system on the coupe. Im running a Carter elect. pump. I know the ideal place would be along the frame rail as close to the tank as possible. But do to placement of the ladder bars thats not possible. Ive been thinking about mounting the pump in the trunk. Im using AN fittings and stainless line. Ill be putting in a good solid firewall between trunk and p***enger compartment, but am I still looking at a potentially crispy situation. The only place I have along the frame rail is directly under the p***enger side seat.

It would be OK in the trunk. I had one in my T in that little trunk bed area. Buyer beware...it is noisy!!!Carters especially.

I have a 6 volt Carter fuel pump on my frame rail, and it IS pretty damn noisy. When we first put it on, I thought it was broken!

I was just wanting a second opinion on that, thanks Root. As far as the noise goes Ill just add that to the list. Now its back to the garage. [IMG]

Yeah are they ever! I finally mounted mine on some rubber isolation insulators. Didn't get rid of the noise entirely, but it helped.
