The dual action fuel pump on my 56 started weeping from the main body vent. It’s been on the 11 years I’ve had the car. It’s marked “Made in USA” in 2 places but no brand. I installed the AirTex shown since I had it. I’m looking for a rebuilder and wrote to “then-now-parts” since a person on another site bought a kit from them. Can anyone in our social group recommend a rebuilder. Today most doing it will have the right diaphragm but I need the lower pressure too. I understand most will only rebuild ones made in the USA. Thanks
I had mine rebuilt several years ago. I'm pretty sure it was done by this guy. Fuel Pump Rebuilding - The Cl***ic Preservation Coalition
Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up having done locally at Egge Machine so I could drive both ways; cheaper than shipping. They test them when finished. I asked them to try and find a filter for the gl*** bowl and they did. Now it’s back under the car again… I have bought many individual parts from them over the years when no one else had what needed. This is the first time I used their rebuilding service.
