It's been several years since I needed this stuff. I used the Bill Hirsch stuff back then.I'm sure there are many choices now. How about some thoughts on this..Thanks
For fixing a hole? At Lowe's hardware, or Home Depot, or Checker auto, or, or, or, on the epoxy shelf. I've used Hirsch on an old tank I rejuvinated, worked good for me. For treating tanks, I googled it, http://www.4secondsflat.com/Fuel_Tank_Sealer.html http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Tank-Sealers_c_7-1-0.html http://www.hirschauto.com/prodinfo.asp?number=GTS http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Tank-Sealers_c_7-1-0.html
I bought mine from an off road motorcycle dealer. Can't remember what it's called, came as a three part kit. Worked well.
I used this product in 2 of my 32 tanks . 1 was original and had over 10 # of rust , scale and **** in it .No problems after sealing . The other was a new Tanks tank that I changed and moved the filler neck on . Cleaned , than sealed to keep any welding **** out of the 6 carbs ............Z.D.
