The Luzader 5W was a bonafide race car and holds icon status in my eyes. Never saw it run. Many lop eared magazines got me through that period cuz I was just a kid. Love that thing!
Chris, that '32 Fordor was the subject of a Lewie Shell Buick/Ford engine swap in a '56 issue of Car Craft.
I'd love to see more pictures of this, what appears to be a Dodge body with Model A fenders. Also appears to be exceptionally well finished.
Thanks Keith. While I am hunting up the Hot Rod article on that Dodge roadster, I will try to find the one on Shorters car as well, and post both.
A few of my fendered beauties from the last few years... In the garage now... And the one I've got blown apart for a redo right now...
Falcongeorge; The 27 Touring is actually Jack Coonrod's car. He was latter called Jack the Bear Coonrod and ran A-Gas in a 34 Willy's coupe. One of his race partners was Wayne Harry also A-Gas in a 40 Willy's Coupe. Often known as the Coonrod and Harry team. The Wizzard

Any time, drop me a P.M. Also Jacks touring is in the Jan 1959 Hot Rod mag and shows a top view of the Flathead with 4 carbs and the Hand built headers. I believe the complete intake is still in in the hands of one of our club members. The Wizzard
