    Hey gang,

    Been on here a bit making most of my old post's thumbnails into full size to give this thread a bit more "zing"...

    I have officially started on Roy's full fendered touring chassis, and I think I'll be posting some of it here. The rear end and engine will be non- H.A.M.B. specific, but tolerable, so I'll kinda gloss over those a bit. I'll load pictures this evening and get going with it.

    It's a Total Performance frame built for a full fendered T. The motor mounts came installed. The T is a 27 Tudor. Need at least 5" to clear the engine and at least anther 2" bump for the HEI distributor.

    I'm honestly not trying to tell you how to build your car, it is yours after all. But, are you sure you have a short pump on it? And, I personally would never run an HEI on a vintage car not only because of the appearance, but also the size factor. What you'll find in that even if you do get that huge thing packaged in there, you'll never get it back out without pulling the engine. I would simply move the mounts if any of these don't jibe, as I have never seen a '26-'27 with the firewall pushed that far back... Unless it was a small block Ford application.

    I appreciate your reply. I'm sure I have a short water pump. Really don't want to move the engine forward anymore than it is. Maybe the answer is to go with a point distributor and save a couple of inches.

    Any input you might need from me? I met with Sheldon in Hawaii in June and we had quite a good time talking about this car, and cars in general.

    I only meant to post one of each shot. Sorry. It's the Sheldon Bardin Tudor which I've had since December. It's in wonderful shape & drives well. I love it.

    Hey allenl,

    Thank you for the updated pictures! It still is a stunning car, and one of my favorites. I have had the history piece compiled for this car for about a year now, but my life has been whirlwind this last year, and the time to sit and do it just hasn't been there. I too got to sit and talk with Sheldon a bit last summer about the car (and his earlier one as well!) via telephone and get some of the story straight... One Hell of a nice guy! It's so good to see it back on Buick style wires too.

    Hey, Marc;
    Got any more shots of your dads' T. Like a decent side, rear, & interior? Any other details? Do like the headlights. From the front 3/4 shots, the proportions look similar to a Volks-Rod, w/a slightly longer hood. I likey... :D .
    Marcus...

  23. the rear end is out of an alfa romeo, not sure if the front brakes are of the same pedigree.

    I took your advice and got rid of the HEI distributor. Got the engine in and it fits pretty good.

    You're right, my mistake, it measures 7 1/4 inches and a short pump measures 5 5/8.. However, I didn't want to move the motor mounts this late in the game since the drive line has already been completed. Thanks again for your reply.
