Funny Cars

Man! Those were some good looking cars. Not like the blobs nowadays.

 

I use to love the funny car class, loved it when they actually had style. I was at the U.S. Nationals in 1978 and got to see the Snake Vs Mongoose final run that day. I was a young kid with my parents and the Army was my favorite car, while we were in the pits watching the activity, I got the Snakes autograph and he also let me sit in his car so my parents could get a picture. Still my favorite funny car and FC driver of all time.

 

This car was an absolute terror in 1969......my favorite of all time.
