The 'Cuda funny cars were the most colorful ones of that era........ That's including the Super Stockers and Pro Stockers.....
The cars used to have such colors, style and personality. Not like the rolling blob billboards of today.
Northwest staple Twig Zeigler. Early on gasser pilot. Twig had a family relationship with a person who lives locally near Stanwood WA where I reside, he'd bring his funny car to the annual Stanwood car show and cackle. Fun guy to talk to. Crash was at Seattle, there's a better shot further down track with the car completely upside down, rumor on the street, guy that owns the rights to that photo is hesitant about it being reproduced.
