  2. I had my 28/9 for sale for $1500 with clean current tags. I don't think I will let it go for less than $2000 after seeing some recent sales.

If there is one thing i've learned about looking for projects and parts, if you stick with your general vicinity you're going to run into 3 things...

1: It won't be priced the way you want, and if it is it's probably ****
2: Be prepared to spend a LOT more time looking for said part.
    3: ALL FORDS ARE EXPENSIVE!!!

Bottom line, if you want a model A go for it, but be prepared to shell out the dough and have it shipped in. I personally like the off brands, they can usually be found easier and don't fetch the premium that ford has attained. Plus they're a lot more unique and it's fun to screw with people haha

Personally i know that the back roads, farms, and fields of MD and PA both have some cool stuff. Take a weekend and drive around, get lost and see what you find.

    '32 - '34 doors are $350+ each. I paid $350 for a rusty cab and over $800 for the rusty doors ('32).

    '32 - '34 trucks have visor's.

You need to come visit the NW....I see Model A PU cabs more often than any other Model A body style and most are reasonablely priced....under $1000.
Hell, I paid a $300 for my last one....

Being 6' 4" 260 lbs. I can't fit into one, even though I'd love to have one. That's harder to take than just being a little on the cheap side...

Another way to think of it is that if some "idiot" will pay then it is worth it to them. If I have a $500 cab and you will pay me that but there are Idiots who will pay me $3K, who'd be the idiot to sell it to you?

Make friends with the guys in your local Model A restoration club. Trust me, those guys have the sheet metal stashed away, and if they like you they'll give you a decent price. Most of these guys only are interested in restorations, but many of them were rodders back in the day too, so you just have to be diplomatic. - Speed

Alright i'll take this all as constructive criticism.......

Maybe I need to take a different approach........

I wasn't trying to jump in people's stuff....when people say there aren't 34's for 600 bucks....I show the proof from this very board with ease......it's like nuff said.

You're right about that.My friend had a bunch of Model A Bodies and sells at the swapmeets and people from Australia keep buying them all. This happened at several swapmeets the past couple of years.
