Its been awhile since I dissasembled the rear brakes. Ive got a pretty good idea how they go back together but I dont want to get any springs in the wrong places. Any one have an illustration or know of a site that has the rear assembly illustration. Before the preaching begins I know I should get a manual....I should have at least taken a picture.....I shoulda coulda but i didnt. [IMG] Oh yeah these are in the 55-64 type rear end.

  3. Hey-All I know for sure is the "short" shoe is in frt on each side- then the adjuster wheel on bottm should line up with the open slot in backing plate the emerg brake lever attaches only one way to rear shoe and the springs will prob fit just one way too. oh an dont forget the bowtie deal at the top before springs..... Go buy a set of 64 self-adjusting hardware kits from NAPA. No more adjusting that shit! I put a set on my 59.

You wouldn't happen to have a NAPA part number for them would you?
