check it out.. drove for about 20 miles to give it a test.. no leaks.. nothin bad but the alternator belt squeekin cause it doesnt line up right.. been hangin with my wife sorry I didnt post before gotta make those front spacers, and figure out why the damn thing drops the front when I drop the back hahaha.. idk what the **** is up with that.. the damn car is held up by the driveshaft hitting the tunell hahaa, i can teeter totter it when its aird out.. gonna have to fix that this winter.. i think the back shocks are holding up my lift a lot, so might take em off to check.. i did all the work but the welding on the pockets myself, what do you guys think? edited all pics out .. there is an updated pic on the bottom of the thread... thought this thread was dead so never updated haha
i dont sit it all the way down, it was just for the pics... the hoses dont come near the ground usually, i drive front up back slightly raise.. but yeah i need those spacers REAL soon hahhaa.. for SURE
Supremes look good on that car. Very nice. If you're going to tunnel the floor this winter, might as well c-notch the rear.
Looks great, I'm going to look at a Galaxie this morning. He wanted 1800, but emailed me this morning saying he'd take 500 cause he needs it gone. He says there's a ***le discrepency of some kind and keeps changing the time that I can come check it out, so I may offer him 300.
looking good. id be doing that tunnel right now though. your bound to hit the drive shaft on it and could f it up causing some problems.it should only take you a few hrs to do so.
I have a 64 Galaxie wagon that is bagged. To get it to lay frame a couple of things needed to be addressed. #1 underneath the back seat where the driveshaft is connected to the rear end there was a bumpstop on top. That had to be pulled because it was bottoming out on the underneath side of the floor. That got a couple more inches. Still wasnt enough so a section of the floor was cut out, car was layed out and a new pannel put in place. This might be where your getting your seesaw action from. Also a small "c" section was needed to tuck the rear all the way up. Dont forget to check your pinion angles! If your going to drive it low you might need to shim it a bit to get everything lined up. Looks good!
To me it looks like the tires are way tiny and they just do not fill the wheel wells up like they should, kinda like they are 13" wheels on a car that had 15". I understand why you did this but I would have mini tubed it and then could have kept a taller tire. Looks good but it just aint my bag.......< Look I made a funny
thanks guys.. tires are about 1" smaller diameter than stock.. not a huge difference, but it is the look i wanted.. and yup, its a 70s style lowrider
Looks cool Todd....not as cool as MY lincoln slammed out however!!! LOL My '64 doesn't look like that, pretty much stock. I have a TON of '64 parts shall you ever need anything. I still have one parts car out back and probably two more cars worth of parts.
Looks good man, have any shots of the fab work? I just got the front of my '62 hammered down on bags as well...rear to come after the engine/******/brake work. EDIT: just found the previous thread...nice work on the front pockets
