Met Mr and Mrs Gambino about 4 years ago in the Suede room at the Sacramento Autorama, gave my daughter and I bottled water and I bought some magazines off of him. Last December without knowing me just from some PM's here on the HAMB we were going to caravan down to the Mastersons Barris Fire show. When I got to his house he was out getting coffee so I sat there with his wife and granddaughter and their great pitbulls(complete stranger to them and its 7:30 in the morning) and just talked until he got there. They are the most down to earth people and you can tell they are very family oriented and welcomed me into their home. I ended up blowing my engine up 200 miles down the road and he continued on with Dave(Studhud) and they both kept in contact with me until I made it home safely. When I can afford it my 55 will have the Gambino touch, thoughts and prayers for Alex and all of the Gambinos.

  9. Alex, ............hang in there ! I've been cancer-free for 8 years now, and I think a great deal of that is due to attitude. You've got Attitude Dude, kick some ass !!!

Met you in the Hallway of the motel at the Salina show.

You are in my prayers, BEAT cancer!

Both my parents have had to deal with serious cancer in the last year, It CAN be beaten.

Get the best medicine has to offer and KNOW that God can heal.

Message boards are a funny thing, it is uncanny how a person can read a few post from another and KNOW you like this guy, Mr. Gambino, you are one of these folks, I am pulling for you all the way, don't give up and don't give in.

  21. First met Alex at the Lone Star Round-Up and signed his HAMB banner. Bumped into him again at the Hunnert Car Pile-Up. Visited him the night before the last Paso show at his shop where he was a gracious host. He is an innovator and an inspiration - they don't come any better!

Alex, my wife Glo is a cancer survivor. Please follow the docs' orders and get well. You're in our thoughts and prayers and I eagerly look forward to the next time our paths cross.

Several months ago, I was in the bay area and called Alex and asked if I could stop by and check out his shop. His answer was yes, stop by. We did one morning. He is one of the nicest guys that you could ever meet.

  26. Hang tuff alex we just got back this morning from the 24 hour walk for the american cancer society do a search on the internet they maybe abel to assist you

  27. I watched him working his ass off in the KS heat, passing sketchy tools back and forth etc.., stepping and fetching when needed, etc...

What would any of us do to have half his talent and a quarter his work ethic?

Take care man, we really need you around
