I'll second that! Stoner, your covers always rock. Great cars. great chicks. Great typography. A lethal combination.
Glad y'all like it so far! It's not hard to get a magazine out in this day in age, but it takes a helluva lot of work to try to make a good one. Just like a car. I sincerely hope you get inspired by GARAGE magazine... STONER
You know what, Dan? That's not always true. Just recently, my circulation manager asked "what magazines would you like yours next to on the newsstands?" It may be like David and Goliath as far as who gets to make that decision, but from what I've been told, you do have some say in where Garage goes. Obviously, the non-English-speaking convenience store attendents may not get, rather understand, that directive, but the bigger outlets will.
Yowza! Now that's how you make a magazine cover. Meanwhile, back at the Garage Mansion, Stoner relaxes by the grotto pool in his pajamas and smoking jacket. A trio of buxom Garage bunnies light his pipe, and he begins another hard day of reviewing 35mm cheesecake slides.
I picked up that mag the other day, and was/am impressed! There is so much cool content, it blew me away. The story on the match-race funny car circus was worth the price of admission all by itself. I'll definitely keep buying this mag.
Ordered from this post, thanks for info, also would there be storys about home garage built hotrods, bikes, race cars, not just top name people(like some of the talented builders on the hamb).
