Plans for a "garage condo" a.k.a "car condo" development just outside of Oswego, NY, approximately 30 minutes north of Syracuse, will be unveiled at the 2024 Syracuse Nationals. For those unfamiliar with the concept, it is a gated community of individually owned garages in a series of buildings maintained by an owner-governed board similar to an HOA. The exteriors of the buildings and grounds, landscaping, snow removal, etc. is taken care of by the 'HOA'. The owners buy the basic unit and finish it out however they desire; limited only by their imagination. The planned development will consist of approximately 180 garages surrounding a proposed private-use track. The property has been purchased and preliminary government approvals are secured. The purpose of the unveiling is a first step in introducing the project to the to the automotive enthusiast community with the goal of starting a list of interested parties.
