Ken, I've seen you crusing that chopper on Market and Nevada a couple of times. We really need to do a Spokane Meet and Greet; is Jim still working on setting one up in Deer Park?
Yup, thats ME, I live 3 blocks from SCC on Ermina right off of Market, The house with ALL the Impalas in the yard... Stop on by if your in the neighborhood, I am ALWAYS here working after 4:00, you will see a '58 Biscayne, '64 Impala wagon, and a '57 Olds wagon on the side, you CAN"T miss it!!! I always have beer in the fridge if you want one!!! Ken
Glad you got it and not someone who would just flip it on ebay, or street rod it. That interior rules!!!!
Here are some decent pics. Installed orriginal headlights to replace the god awful sealed beams, and cleaned all the leaves and garbage out of it. We also got it running, cleaned the points, did a little wire job, topped off the radiator, poured some gas down the carb and it lit right off. The car is in very nice shape for it's age and consittering that it has been outside for all these years. front floor boards, trunk floor and bottom of quarters have a little rust, but nothing uncommon to any other car up here, should be an easy fix. Man, this thing is strait. Heres a picture today with my 41 and my ol man's 37. The last pisture is me in the car.
I just talked to the previous owners, and they said all old pictures of the car were lost, but I bet the car looked good with the red paint job and interior. He also said that it was not uncommon to have to swap the tranny due to the 283 breaking the cluster gears He said it was a good running little coupe.
Here you go: The car has changed a little since these pics.............I got rid of the nasty aftermarket headlights and it's running screw on Moon discs. I'll get a current pic tomorrow if it's not raining.
