About a month ago, my girlfriend and I went on a 300 mile drive around (almost) half of Denmark ;-)
We put up posters in the lokal grocery stores and malls, searching for "Old Fords"
I have been searching for a long time now and figured this to be the best way to reach whoever is not on the internet. I hoped for the best, but feared for no responces at all.

After about a week, I got a call from a young man stating that one of his relatives had an old Ford in the garage. He couldn't say what year or model but I could call the guy and ask.
I called the old man and sure enough.... "yup, I got an old Ford V8...... a '33 model" he said.

Fast forward...... yesterday my younger brother and I went, as agreed with the owner, to take a look. First thing we saw, as he opened the garage, was a tudor sedan body, resting on the floor.
I walk to the rear of the garage and spot some fenders, hood, wheels and what is unmistakeably a 32 grille shell.
Turns out it is a 32 tudor with an english body. Frame and bits are sandblasted and painted..... was done sometime in the '80's.

Body is in absolutely amazing condition, has never been welded and only needs a small patch in one rear wheel arch, appr. 2x10 inches.
Top has been redone... only needs a clean-up
Doors open and shut like new and the woodwork is perfect.

Engine is a 85hp that has been rebuilt with new valves, guides, cam and pistons.

Car has been sitting since 1960!!

    Good find!
What a great idea. I never even thought of making posters and placing them on bulletin boards. Its amazing the amount of people who know of or have these old cars laying around and never even think that others may be interested in resurrecting those hulks.

    Outstanding find.

  7. SWEEEEET! Good luck with it. Just goes to show ya what still pop's up out of the wood work, after all these years. I like to ride back roads in the early spring here in the northeast. Everyone's outside after a long winter, working around the house & yards, with the garage doors open. You see some real treasures !

It has the normal roof insert, not steel.
The english tudors were a lot different, but I'm no expert in the matter.
One thing is the suicide doors, another is the lack of the crease above the rear wheel arch.

Shoot a picture of the dash when you get a chance--those are really neat.
'32 British sedans, 2 and 4 door I think, were local design. Other bodies were regular USA/Canadian types. The sedans at least were given slight styling changes and made into 1934.
I've got a Danish 1932 parts catalog here! You people like really long words, huh??

  13. that is one hell of a story - awesome

suicide doors - that thing is bad ass

I wish it was that easy to post at the local markets here in the SoCal area and find that someone would respond with something like that that you found. Nice score! KNUX!
