I almost like the english bodymore than the US version. I noticed the backing plates on the pic of the car on the railroad tracks! Very cool.

  9. Hey, your avatar picture looks like a guy I met headed to South Dakota for the Sturgis Harley meet . . . about 3 or so years ago. Came over from Denmark and was having his Harley shipped over as well. Just checking ???

  15. Hello Gearhead-DK

I also found an 'English' tudor sedan body here in Holland and it's still in remarkable good condition and still has the orginal paint.
This car was probably build in France (Asnieres, Paris)
The body came from Southern France and was found by another Dutchman.

I also own an 'American' bodied 32 Tudor V-8 that was build in Asnieres, France (according to the dataplate on the firewall)

Most Model A and B Fords in Holland were imported from Danmark
in the 70's and 80's when most Dutch A's and B's were already scrapped.

Check out my 39 Mercury at the 39/40 Mercury post.
This car was imported from Danmark as well.

The Guy that built this 'outfit' (him in the last picture) is an (English) HAMB member but I don't think he posts too often. I think he's called Pete? Brit HAMBers, anybody know him?

Ok guys and gals...... it has taken long enough, but a lot of things came between me and the Tudor.

It has finally passed inspection and the work has payed off.
I had to move from my garage, my hot rod "cave" for the last 6 years, so assembling the deuce was put on hold for a while.

A lot of fabrication has been done, especially to fit the french flathead, some bodywork was done to the rear fenderwells and I prepped and painted the lower parts of the body. I also did some sheetmetal work on the fenders and the grille shell. Shell is now painted in the original shade of green.

Plan is to still leave most of the original paint and I will wet sand and buff the whole car to a (hopefully) look-old finish.

And here (sorry.... text in danish) http://traditional-hotrods.dk/?page_id=4/hot-rods/32-tudor-hiboy/page-1

I still plan on going the fenderless route, I just had to put them on there for inspection.
All the areas in primer will be sprayed green to match the rest of the car, still without overdoing the finish..... all in order to keep the patina.

Well..... hope you like it? I am really looking forward to the first few trips, come spring.
