That's a really nice Deuce. I love it! I think keeping as much original paint as possible, and also the old school drivetrain (Flatty) is a good choice. And it does look best to me without the fenders. Hvor bor du saa i Kobenhavn?

  4. Awesome build! I like the full fendered look. Works with the suicide doors. The stance is right on. So cool!

Very nice Euro Deuce! The proportions are very cool -- like a Vicky without the hump.

I just noticed a Cadillac in the background of one of the photos- looks like you have a few good projects on the go.

Nice work, I'd keep the fenders. Are the running boards stock European Ford or 31-32 Chevy?

Thank you all for the kudos!

It's been hard work for sure..... lost 17 pounds in the process ;-)

As for the Cadillac in the background, it's my Ol' Trusty gal. Bought her in 2004 in Weed, northern CA.

    A better pic of her

I feel lucky to have both the Caddy and the Ford...... a happy man indeed.

Haha, jeg bor i Soborg lige i udkanten af Kobenhavn ;-) Kun et kvarters korsel fra centrum.

    Hvor kommer du fra?

We are actually contemplating going to Hot Rod Hayride in England. If so, we may be forced (money wise) to skip OSW for 2009.

Hope it all works out though..... time will tell :)

Thomas, I'm a 4th generation American, men min FarMorMor stammer fra Danmark (Viborg).

Maybe next time I'm over your way I'll look you up and check out your deuce. That's a neat little car you've got. Hey, what's the best internet site these days to get the current schedule of the hot rod happenings in Danmark, Sverige og Norge? Maybe I'll try to catch one or more next time that I'm over your way.

You'll be very welcome to stop by. I have lived in Soborg the last 9 years, but been in the Copenhagen area my entire life.

I find it amazing that you and your family still keep up with the danish, as it must be the worst foreign language to learn and pass on.

Best Scandinavian sites in regards to traditional style events would be:

    www.traditional-hotrods.dk (administered by yours truly)

www.envikenrecords.com (swedish record label with user forum)

    www.ssra.org (Swedish Street Rod Association)

    Take care,

    Thomas

Running boards are homemade with aluminum edges

Old thread, I know, but I thought you might want to see the "finished" product.

There is still a lot of wet sanding and buffing to do, in order to minimize the transitions between new and old paint.
Other than that I got it exactly how I wanted it.... Woohooo!!

Thanks for bring this post back from the past, great looking car!

  28. Gearhead... sedan looks great! I had missed that you found this, good story!

I've been tracing my family roots a little lately. I know your from Denmark, but can you tell me if there is a hot rod scene or any collectors over in the Netherlands? My family is from all over, but we have some major roots in Goes/Kattendijke. Going to go over an explore sometime soon.
Certainly going to visit some friends while I'm there too. With all my shipping exsperience, I still plan to ship a car somewhere over there too.

Thank you all for the kudos!! Means a lot after the build.

@ Dirtyest Devil - Thank you! There certainly is a hot rod / kustom scene in Holland although I have no close friends from there.
It is not like I am close by Holland, but if you decide to visit some events in Denmark, Sweden or Norway you will be very welcome.
Contact me if you have questions in that regard.
