Garage Magazine: What do ya' think?

i think it kinda blows more than sucks.

 

I like it alot. I've only gone through issue two, and I loved it. Sure it's not all about hot rods... I don't think it's trying to claim it's Rod and Custom, but more of a bit on the culture and folks and events related to it. Awesome stories and old photographs, like the whole article on bootleggers back in the 30's. Awesome work. Keep it up!

 

It's 'culture' based and for that it's an EASY TARGET...It isn't bullshitting anyone, it does a great job of what it's setting out to achieve and hell i buy it every issue.

If you want it to be something else, don't buy it or start your own..i've tried a little mag and damn its hard werk.

Kudous to those that have made it to 4 issues.

I like it and will maintain my subscription...as long as I recieve renewall notices via snail mail or e-mail. Hopefully they will handle their subscription services better than CKD does.

 

I checked the website and was going to subscribe but I don't like the boots they are giving away.

Was this formerly Goth-Gal Magazine?

The "Drama Queen" post got me giggling, but I laughed so hard I spit my milk out my nose when I read this. Gay Age.

 

I gave up awhile back on getting ANY info cuz I couldn't get a response or return phone call to save my life....
Boots? Goth-Girls? Spooky Chicks?
Maybe this warrants a second look!

 

Have you noticed that any magazine that ever comes out.....that somebody on the HAMB has to bitch and moan about it? For fucks sake! Maybe we should just burn them all (magazines and books) and goose step. I for one will now subscribe to garage magazine...just to support an alternative view and an alternative publication. Not to mention....looking at David Perrys printing techniques.

OK, I just had to respond to Reverend Colin's post:

Dude, you can't not like the boot sweepstakes since the whole idea behind it is that you get to DESIGN YOUR OWN!

Now, if you don't like cowboy boots at all, that's another matter altogether. But the way we see it, just by spending $18 and getting a chance to win a pair of custom made, one of a kind, YOUR OWN DESIGNED boots worth $750 is not a bad deal. What other mag offers that? And Clay Hathaway at Lonesome Ace is a real talented mother trucker. If you have any questions about the boot thing, just ask and I'll set y'all straight.

#4 is almost here and I think you're gonna like it. It's got something for the whole family...

I’ll have to pick up some peyote (religious experience) and think up a good design.
