so. the big question here is do people see the word "sell" and think it is the same as the word sale? are sell and sale pronounced the same for these people? it is a mystery for those who can spell WTF is going on here. there is no such thing as a garage sell.
Originally I thought it was an American colloquialism. texting, predictive text, spell check, (possibly laziness), etc on electronic devices all encourages a generation that will no longer talk, spell or possibly even communicate as it once did. It’s been going on for a number of years. Always amazed me how many don’t know the difference between - ‘they’re’, ‘there’ and ‘their’, but I appreciate that not everyones forte is spelling. hopefully the original poster hasn’t been put off by the critiques and will be back with more photos soon……..
Sale, Sell & Sail. HRP My granddad (Highpockets) never attended school and could spell good enough to get by, but his saving grace was math, he could whip out his slid rule and amaze people. HRP
I occasionally find nice machinist tools at yard sales around here. This island was basically populated by the (cold) war effort and defense contractors employed thousands of people. But hardly any old car parts whatsoever. In fact the swap meets are mostly GM muscle car stuff and newer.
