Building cars in your yard and drive way wouldn't be half bad. U never have to worry about burning urn house or shop down.
I have a garage built in the 20's. Its a garage not a shop. Dont think body work and paint can be done well there. I do have a car port if it stops raining.
I have a 2 car garage. But i have 2 hot rods so most of the time im workin on them on the drive way. Luckily my Dad lives just a couple of miles down the road and has a plenty big garage.
dude i got that book in 1975 8th grade and me and my buddys would go all round town pulling stuff from gas station dumpsters to outfit our little shop when i saw the book it brought back great memories
I currently have 2 stuffed in my oversize 1 bay but I'm in the process of building a 24X29 with A/C and heat. Ceilings are 12'-4". I can't wait till it's done. I have a build thread on the garage journal if you want to see it. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138187 I suppose it will fill up fast but it will be nice to finally have a place to work on my stuff.
Too small to work in? My '51 doesn't even fit in mine without pulling the front sheetmetal off of it...
Yea but in New England you freeze your nuts off once the snow flies. It just nice having a roof over head. I've done my fare share of ground work. I think I will leave that for the younger guys.
My hotrod and all my tools, wire feed, torches. parts cabinets ect. are in a one car attached garage.
Thanks Man! I cant wait. Heated floors & AC woohoo! I will be getting a lift too. The wife is insisting on it. (I love my wife)
I have a 15x18 space with a Pexto 4' shear, a Mini, a Model A, a drill press, a band saw, two MIG welders, a tool wall, a rolling welding table, a tube bender, a Chevy sprint engine and trans, a tube roller and a bunch of parts. But I have room around me.
